The origins of Atersa stem back to 1979 when Elecsol, a company located in Madrid, entered the renewables sector. In 1983, this company merged with Atesol (founded in Valencia in 1980), giving rise to a new company called Aplicaciones Técnicas de la Energía, Atersa. The company conducts its activities in the photovoltaics sector.
Atersa currently forms part of the Elecnor Group and its mission is to be at the forefront of the market for both grid-connected and off-grid systems. The company operates in the different areas of the photovoltaics sector, from the design and manufacture of solar modules and electronic equipment for solar applications, to the sale and distribution of these products. It is also involved in solar systems engineering.
